1 Since ancient times, our forefathers had detected the limitation of human's knowledge.
2 They discovered that all things are from the formless and the existence is from the nonexistence.
3 However, our knowledge halts before the boundary between the existence and the nonexistence, we can’t study anything regarding the nonexistence, in other words, we can’t research any question beyond the limitation.
4 Our thinking works only in the space and time of material world. For this reason, material is the only platform of our thinking. It halts without material. However, material is of variation, with birth and death. Our life, it starts with birth and returns to death eventually.
5 With the cognition, we divide life of creature into three phases. The nonexistence is the first phase; life is second; and death is the third.
6 The nonexistence, life and death are the trilogy of creature.
7 As the men of practice, we should regard the trilogy as three poses of one action as our very basic conception. The trilogy is regarded as a whole indispensable. Therefore, we are not delighted for birth and not sad for death. Just like the two loyal families, Zhaojing and Jiashi. Zhaojing ranked himself as loyal for the official position while Jiashi ranked for the feudality. Their awarding is different, however; they are the same as a member of loyal family.
8 Human is made from self-nature etc. and the material. The compositions are the same but each individual develops into different character, value, appearance and life background after being a person. It is hard for us to obtain a standard answer under the sun when we judge, analyze and study others in our own views, because each has his own specialties.
9 Though there are inborn obstructs to study the issue, we must try to discuss it objectively, because it is too importance to be avoided.
10 In sacrifice, some insist that ox with furcated hoof presented is regarded reverent. Therefore, local flamen abides by the rule to look for the ox with furcated hoof as the present of sacrifice.
11 In other place, some however, insist that ox with tight hoof is regarded reverent otherwise god dislikes it. Then, flamen takes such ox with tight hoof as present of sacrifice.
12 Additionally, when we go to the temple, obviously, it is to show your reverence to the god. However, if you have natural call at that time, you will leave the temple for toilet. Under this condition, what is right, what is wrong? What is good and what is bad? They are relative, which is totally, up to the then background and location.
13 Usually, we people take life as the standpoint and regard knowledge as the standard of excellence. Hence, we exclude death and despise innocence. However, is death so terrible? Is innocence truly shallow?
14 It is actually worthy further discussing. On values, man is accustomed to remark the others in terms of his own standard: the old and middle men regarding the young men are light-headed and afraid of hard work, while young men thinking the old and middle men are stiff and out of date.
15 The old and middle men would like to devote their lives to follow the party and ism. While the modern young men, they would like to play game before the computer all day long, forget eating and sleeping.
16 The old and middle men would like to build up their career from rags to riches; they take pride in tireless work and are delighted with accumulation of wealth. While the modern young men; however, mock them as fools.
17 The difference of standard is the portraiture of modern people.
18 It is somewhat like a small sparrow laughing at the red head crane. “Why do you migrate so arduously? Like me, living in the lanes. Not worry about food. It is so comfortable and so happy, why don’t you follow me?
19 The ideas and concepts between the common people and the man of practice are very different. Man of practice must jump out of the box of these to treat issues, such as life and death, existence and nonexistence. Only doing so, he can succeed in practice. Those people who stay in the lanes can’t see the grandness of high mountains and grasslands.
